In developing economies, market systems are often imperfect, highly dynamic, and unpredictable factors. MAS- approach to agricultural development is market-driven, while also recognizing that non-economic incentives are often as important as economic incentives.

Both influence rural farmers and value chain stakeholders’ drive to increase market opportunities and improve competitiveness. MAS’s  approach targets systemic change through flexible mechanisms that directly involve local partners.

Using facilitative methodologies, we support value chain actors with scientific analysis and innovations, continually monitoring progress to capture lessons learned and scale up successes.

From suppliers to commercial producers, processors to wholesalers and retailers, MAS's strengthens the technical and managerial capacities of micro, small, and medium enterprises and complementary service providers working along targeted value chains.
